Yesterday, I Made, and Ate, a Salad

It's true. For the first time in my life, I made myself a salad and ate it with ingredients that I purchased of my own free will. The salad (pictured above) had:

  • Lettuce

  • Half a tomato

  • Cheese

  • Hard boiled egg

  • Chicken

  • Ranch dressing

It was delicious, it didn't feel like I had eaten anything when I finished but I sure felt good about myself for doing so.

DISCLAIMER: This salad had absolutely no relation to the fact that I watched super-size me last night.

Um. . .not to burst your bubble, but 2/3 of the ingredients in your "salad" weren't even vegetables. (And tomatoes, according to Scott, are actually fruit.) Don't be too hard on yourself. . .there were plenty of fats and proteins in there to feel good about! :)

Who said "salad" means "only vegetables"? If it weren't for the ham, cheese, eggs, and ranch in salad bars I'd never even think about partaking.
