The Blessings of Paying Tithing and Fast Offerings

When I was home in Utah a month ago, I was impressed with Laurel and Bret's willingness to do as their church leaders had challenged and 10x their fast offerings. If anyone has a reason NOT to, it may be them. They have struggled with all sorts of financial issues over the last couple years. As I was home, I noticed that Laurel was talking about a lot of new contracts and events that seemed to be happening and Bret's work was going great.

That impressed me, so I decided to do the same thing. Two weeks ago I 10x my fast offerings. I didn't notice any blessings at first, and that is fine, I didn't need blessing to do it, its an added benefit but I really did pay because it felt right. Well, let me tell you about a four things that have happened since:

• The day after, TimeClick made 4 sales (twice as many as sales as any month ever had last year)
• I got an email from a guy needing some serious SEO work
• Three people emailed with interest in getting a new site designed
• I was asked to write a proposal for a project that, if goals were hit, could result in me making six figures by this time next year
• More peace and power was felt in my life than anytime in the last long while

In The Book of Mormon they called this "prosperity" I believe. I think that is a great word for it. It's not success, its not progress, its not quality of life, it's prosperity...a combination of all three.
