The Search for Scamp

In case you hadn't heard, I am going to buy a dog in the near future. But not just any dog...I'm going to by my "Scamp". If you find him, let me know. Here's are a few criteria:

  • Must be a golden retriever
  • Must have a paws larger than the average frisbee
  • Gotta be a little clueless like his grandfather Benson
  • Needs good strong elbows that will promptly turn into cauliflower-esc patches
  • Must be ok if used a pillow
  • Needs to have a keen love of pizza crust
  • Must be able to eat anything including: plastic bags, twine, and toys
  • Should have small lumps that will grow into ginormous ones later in life
  • Needs to be able to endure cats sleeping on top of him
  • Gotta be a good hugger
  • Needs to be able to eat a cookie without chewing it
  • Needs to be able to eat an entire hot dog without chewing it

If you see him let me know...I'll run right over and buy him on the spot.

P.S. - I miss you Benson!

We miss you, too, Benson. What a good ol' dog.

We'll keep our eyes and ears open for potential Scamps! (Besides, Katie's going to need a cousin to play with out there in NY!)

What about raccoon eyes and the many sentimental smells? You can't leave those out.

I still have a photo of Benson on the refrigerator, and look for him as I open the garage door. Not just a wonderful dog, but another member of our family. I can't wait to meet his grandson Scamp!

Oh man, I left so much out...you're right.

-Raccoon eyes
-Sentimental smells
-Greasy fur
-Ridiculous fear of lightning
-Ability to cover an entire van window with snot in less than 5 minutes

The list could go on and on :)
